In May 2020 ABIF is taking the National Blackball Championships to Perth, Western Australia.

The 2020 Australian National Blackball Championships was cancelled due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The 2021 Championships is to be held in May of that year and details are provided on this website.

We will be liaising with the committee of the Western Australian Eightball to host the event which will run from 25th to 29th May, 2020.

Important information for those States/Territories wishing to be represented at the 2020 Championships…

  • Each State/Territory may send a maximum of 2 teams in the aged/gender categories of Opens (any age), Seniors (aged 40+), and Ladies (any age).
  • Each team must consist of a minimum of 5 players and a maximum of 7 players.
  • To be eligible to represent a State/Territory, the player must either… 1. Live in a postcode of that State/Territory and/or 2. Play in a blackball weekly competition in that State/Territory.
  • Fees are $70 per player for the teams events, $50 per singles event, and every player attending must pay a $20 ABIF affiliation fee (unless this fee was already paid by the State/Territory for participation in a weekly competition for 2020).

It has been requested that States/Territories provide an indication of the number of teams they wish to send by 31st January, 2020.
